History – I purchased this unit back in 2001 for $380 (eBay item #597341672). The reason I wanted it is that I had this idea of installing a LSD in my 944S2 myself, and I thought it would be great to have a spare transaxle to “practice” on – you can start laughing now...
Well... 5-years later it's still laying on my garage floor, exactly as I bought it. It's time to sell it. Given the relatively low price, and the hassle of shipping such a large item, I would prefer local pickup. I live in Sunnyvale, CA.
Description – To be honest, all I can really tell you is what the original seller told me:
Came out of a 1984 Porsche 944 with 78,000 miles
The seller drove the car himself and said that it shifted fine. Didn't make any noises or pop out of gear. Synchros seemed fine.
He was parting the car out (can't remember why) and that's why the unit was for sale.
